God continues to open doors with more "in-kind" donations for Grandma Bet's project. Maurice Wilson (Seacoast Supply) provided the shingles for the roof while Jimmy Wells (Wells Roofing) provided all the labor to install the shingles. Thanks to both of these individuals and companies for stepping up and helping make this project a success!

I am reading a book called "Crazy Love", by Francis Chan, which has really challenged me to take a hard look at my personal relationship with God. Below is a insert from chapter three which I found thought provoking.

A Strange Inheritance
The very fact that a holy, eternal, all-knowing, all-powerful, merciful, fair, and just God loves you and me is nothing short of astonishing. The wildest part is that Jesus doesn't have to love us. His being is utterly complete and perfect, apart from humanity. He doesn't need me or you. Yet He wants us, chooses us, even considers us His inheritance (Eph. 1:18). The greatest knowledge we can ever have is knowing God treasures us. That really is amazing beyond description. The holy Creator sees you as His "glorious inheritance." The irony is that while God doesn't need us but still wants us, we desperately need God but don't really want Him most of the time. He treasures us and anticipates our departure from this earth to be with Him--and we wonder, indifferently, how much we have to do for Him to get by.

The best things in life are gifts from the One who steadfastly loves us. But an important question to ask ourselves is this: Are we in love with God or just His stuff? Imagine how awful it would feel to have your child say to you, "I don't really love you or want your love, but I would like my allowance, please." Conversely, what a beautiful gift it is to have the one you love look you in the eye and say, "I love you. Not your beaurty, your money, your family, or your car. Just you." Can you say that to God? Our love for Him always comes out of His love for us. Do you love this God who is everything, or do you just love everything He gives you? Do you really know and believe that God loves you, individually and personally and intimately? Do you see and know Him as Abba, Father?

POWERFUL!!!

This past Saturday I had the rare opportunity to work with my tools and help some of my employees (Central Contractors) start the electrical rough-in. I want to take this time to thank Chris Dohmann, Rob Browning, Mark McCann, and Dalton Seignious for helping me (at no charge). God has blessed me with some awesome employees.

These pictures were taken this past Saturday, showing Miller's Central Air employees finishing up the HVAC system rough-in. From the very start of Grandma Bet's project, Rick Miller (Miller's Central Air) has been instrumental in providing not only the "in kind" donation for the HVAC system, but also participating in the project planning and coordination. I still think about the day that Rick and I were standing in Grandma Bet's old house and we both felt God's spirit moving within us to scrap the remodel project and build Grandma Bet a new home...WOW!

3-3-09 (Tuesday)

We had a good meeting last night, with most of the discussion centering around scheduling and checking the status of our pending "in kind" donations. Due to the rough economy, the cabinet and window "in kind" donations are not going to be met; however, Walt Kohl has stepped up to provide a cash donation for the windows. What a huge blessing for Grandma Bet! Walt, I just want to take this time to thank both you and Renee for all you have done to help us with this project. It is awesome to serve with those who truly display a Christ-like attitude and have a mutual desire to see needs met. Faith is belief in action, and both of you have been a consistent example of that throughout this project!

In today's times, more than ever, it is essential that we pray earnestly and confidently, trusting that God will provide for our needs. Every chance you get, keep Grandma Bet and the Kingdom Builders Ministry in your prayers so that we can complete this project and give God the glory! Sometimes God allows these situations to grow our faith and remind us to lean more and more on Him. I am confident that we are stepping in the direction He is leading- He will pull us through!

Philippians 4: 6-7 Don't worry about anything; instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
