"You also, as living stones are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ." 1 Peter 1:5 You, yes you. A living stone. Fully alive to faith in God, and fully grounded on the foundation of Jesus Christ. Designed to be firm and steadfast, immovable. And shaped to contribute to something bigger than you could ever imagine -- a spiritual house for the kingdom of God! He takes our little nothingness and transforms it into something that can be used for His glory. What an honor to serve as a living stone!
But, can a house be built with only one stone? "So we, being many, are one body in Christ and individually members of one another" (Romans 12:5).
And, can a house be held together without masonry? Certainly not. "And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist." (Colossians 1:17)
